About HAPL
Thirty-seven years of enterprise trust, now applied to your hardest IT problems.
We started selling hardware when India's IT industry was in its infancy. We pivoted to telecom just as connectivity was being privatised. Today we run security, cloud, and compliance for some of India's most demanding enterprises.
Our story
Built on relationships that outlasted governments, rebrandings, and market shifts.
Hi-Tech Automations was founded in New Delhi in 1989, at a time when India's enterprise IT sector was still finding its footing. For our first nine years, we built our business supplying IT consumables, peripherals, and hardware to enterprise clients across the capital, the physical layer that kept businesses running.
In 1998, we made a deliberate move into telecommunications, becoming a partner of VSNL, then India's sole provider of international connectivity. The timing was right: India's telecom sector was on the cusp of liberalisation, and enterprise demand for connectivity was about to accelerate sharply.
When the Government of India privatised VSNL in 2002, selling control to the Tata Group, our partnership continued without interruption. When VSNL was rebranded as Tata Communications in 2008, we continued again. Same network, three names, one relationship spanning over 25 years and two generations of our own team.
That longevity is not accidental. Enterprise clients do not stay with a partner across decades because of price. They stay because of consistency, accountability, and the kind of trust that only comes from showing up, every time.
IT consumables, peripherals, and hardware for enterprise clients across the capital. The foundation that built our client relationships and our understanding of how businesses actually run.
A deliberate pivot into telecom as India's enterprise connectivity market opened up. HAPL becomes a partner of VSNL, then India's sole provider of international connectivity.
The Government of India sells VSNL to the Tata Group. HAPL's partnership continues without interruption through the ownership change.
VSNL rebrands as Tata Communications. HAPL has now partnered with the same network through three eras and two generations of our own leadership.
Security, cloud, compliance, and SaaS added as enterprise clients ask for more than connectivity. HAPL becomes a full-spectrum system integrator.
Investing in in-house implementation and support capability across every solution we sell. One partner, from recommendation through to operation.
What we do
From connectivity to compliance. One integrator, across the full stack.
Today, HAPL operates across seven practice areas: Telecom, Enterprise Security, Cloud, AI Solutions, Compliance, SaaS, and IT hardware. Every engagement is offered as a managed or unmanaged service, and every recommendation is driven by the client's use case, not by which product we happen to carry.
We serve large, demanding organisations across BFSI, fintech, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, legal, and utilities: environments with real infrastructure and real consequences for getting it wrong. We work with them not as a reseller passing through hardware, but as an accountable integration partner with skin in the outcome.
Where we are going
Going deeper on everything we sell.
Across the solutions we sell, we are investing in deeper in-house implementation and support capability, from endpoint security and identity management to network infrastructure and data protection compliance. The goal is simple: one partner who can recommend, deploy, and stand behind what they sell.
We have always believed that knowing which solution to recommend is only half the job. The other half is being able to implement, configure, and support it, so our clients have one accountable partner from recommendation through to operation.
